GABRIELE MUSETTI
Functional Anatomy in Yoga & Vinyasa Technique
6-7 MARCH 2027

In this event, you'll have the opportunity to experience functional anatomy applied to Yoga in a practical way, helping you improve your body awareness, learn to prevent injuries, and optimize your personal practice. During the workshop, we'll cover various interrelated topics such as joint mobility, body awareness and proprioception, the biomechanics of movement, strength and stability, and much more.
Throughout the event, we'll work on the fundamental principles of Yoga: the dynamics of breath to train in functional breathing according to different asana and movement contexts. We'll explore the different respiratory muscles and perceive the internal breath in the lungs to gain greater capacity and depth in breathing and pranayama. Furthermore, we'll experientially understand the BANDHAS, the relationship between the thoracic and pelvic diaphragms, and see how to apply these concepts in practice.

SCHEDULE
Saturday 6/3

“You are as old as your spine.” Maintaining a healthy spine is the starting point for all our practices. In this class, we will approach backbend asanas from an anatomical perspective and work on spinal movements and joint mobility exercises that can complement and reinforce what we do in Yoga. We will progressively build a solid foundation for poses such as Urdhva Dhanurasana, Dhanurasana and variations

At the end of the weekend, a 12-hours Yoga Alliance Continuing Education certificate, specifically focused on Vinyasa, will be awarded.

A graduate in Sports Science, Gabriele completed his academic training with a thesis entitled "Functional Anatomy in Yoga." This research led to an e-book on the subject and the founding of a School of Functional and Experimental Anatomy applied to Yoga, which combines scientific knowledge with the practice of conscious movement.
He works as a personal trainer, both in person and online, offering a comprehensive and holistic approach to Movement and Physical Education, centered on body awareness and functional well-being.
Since 2017, he has shared his experience as a trainer in workshops, retreats, events, and training courses in Italy and abroad, promoting a vision of the body as a tool for knowledge, balance, and personal transformation.
